Two separate heating units allow for autonomous temperature regulation:
- the box heats cloths and towels up to 74º C;
- the heating plate can be regulated to heat up to 140ºC for the use of oils, therapeutic muds, waxes, stones, etc.;
- the refrigeration drawer can be regulated to temperatures as low as -2ºC, keeping cloths cold and products chilled;
- the ample counter surface and an additional foldaway compartment allow for a comfortable working environment, without the need for ulterior furnishings (besides the massage bed).

The innovative design of the refrigeration drawer offers a stylish look and promotes a concept of wellness, which finds it roots in the principle of the alternate application of hot and cold cloths, according to the method introduced by Dr. Sebastian Kneipp in the 1800's. Through this method, the organism is reinforced, thanks to both thermal and mechanical effects.
Normal skin temperature is 33.5º. By rapidly increasing or decreasing this temperature, different sensations and reactions are generated. Through the application of both hot and cold damp cloths to the body, the nervous system is able to transfer the stimuli perceived at skin level to the inside of the body. This influences gastric and hormonal secretion and reinforces the immune system.
• Heat calms the body, slowing down the activity of its internal organs. . With the help of Battista, treatments that make use of heat allow a thermodynamic effect that contrasts the permeability of the blood vessels responsible for hard cellulite. Heat increases the production of collagen and elastin and also helps the body to rid itself of damaged proteins and free radicals that cause the skin to age. Damp, hot applications are also recommended in the treatment of muscle contractions.
• Cold, on the other hand, stimulates. Cold treatments and the application of cold wraps have a stimulating effect and cause blood vessels to constrict.
